PAIR OF BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) SCOTTISH HIGHLAND LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS. Williams, executed in oil on canvas Item # 009RXD18K. A nice pair of British School landscape paintings of the Scottish Highlands with powerful mountains under clear skies with a river running through the valley. He was well known for his paintings of Liverpool and North Wales and exhibited at the Royal Academy at least twice as well as the British Institute. He moved to London where he died in poverty.
They are an attractive pair that should eventually be restored.
